Jennifer Lopez to Perform New Song From Her Movie 'Second Act' at 2018 American Music Awards

Jennifer Lopez announced Thursday (Oct. 4) that she will perform a new song from her upcoming film Second Act at Tuesday's 2018 American Music Awards.

"It's gonna be an AMAZING night," Lopez tweeted along with the news.

Second Act is a romantic comedy about Maya (Lopez), a 40-year-old woman whose unfulfilled dreams leave her wondering whether her street smarts will ever be as valuable as book smarts. Her friends create a false identity for her, landing Maya a job on Madison Avenue in New York City, forcing her to live up to the expectations that come with all of her fake qualifications. In her struggle to keep up with the pressures of her new life, she begins to lose her true self completely.

Directed by Peter Segal, the movie is set to release on December 14 and will include stars such as Vanessa Hudgens, Milo Ventimiglia, Charlene Yi and others alongside Lopez.

Check out J.Lo's Twitter announcement below, and make sure to tune into the AMAs on Tuesday, Oct. 9, at 8 p.m. ET on ABC to see the debut of her Second Act single.
