Green Day and Twenty One Pilots to Perform at 2016 American Music Awards
Green Day recently ruled the Billboard 200 with Revolution Radio, the veteran outfit’s 12th studio album and third No. 1 in a 30-year career. The Hall of Fame inducted punk rock outfit have a happy history with the AMS. They’ve collected three AMAs from 10 nominations, and they took the AMA stage in 2009 for a performance of “21 Guns.”
Twenty One Pilots, meanwhile, are set for their debut AMAs performance.
The fan-voted AMAs is set to broadcast live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Nov. 20 at 8 pm ET on ABC. Drake leads with a record 13 nominations for the annual show, which is produced by dick clark productions, while Rihanna has seven and Adele and Justin Bieber each have five.
The 2016 American Music Awards show is executive produced by Allen Shapiro and Mike Mahan, with Larry Klein, Barry Adelman and Mark Bracco serving as producers.
