Fall Out Boy 'Casually Working on New Stuff': 2015 AMAs Backstage Interview

Fall Out Boy has been producing hits for 10 years, but they didn’t win their first American Music Award until Sunday night. Just after the quartet got its trophy for favorite artist - alternative/rock, Patrick Stump, Pete Wentz, Andy Hurley and Joe Trohman chatted backstage with Billboard’s Keith Caulfield about what’s ahead.

When asked if the band is already writing new material (American Beauty/American Psycho came out in January 2015, mind you), Stump initially downplayed the idea: “Not distinctly, but we’re always writing.”

However, Wentz chimed in, saying the film industry has been interested in collaborations lately: “Were casually working on stuff. After we did ['Immortals' for the 2014 Disney film] Big Hero 6, movies hit us up and that kind of stuff. Big Hero 6 worked because it was this big specific thing that worked in our world.”

Are they interested in doing film scores, perhaps? And what are their favorite Star Wars films? Check the video above for all that and more.
