The immersive experience will celebrate women who have shaped today's culture.

Bustle announced on Monday (Aug. 6) that their inaugural Rule Breakers event will take place in New York City's Lefrak Center at Lakeside in Prospect Park on Sept. 22.

The immersive one-day experience will celebrate music, culture, fashion, and lifestyle. Janelle Monáe will headline the event, and there will be additional performances by DJ Samantha Ronson, Sofi Tukker, and more.

Guests will have access to group meditation, retro roller skating, rotating food vendors, and a '90s nostalgia party, all in collaboration with top global brands.

“Consumers today are seeking more than the traditional brand experience or one-note event,” Jason Wagenheim of Bustle Digital Group said in a press release. "Rule Breakers gives brands, and Bustle, the opportunity to reach an audience that covet and value first-hand conversations and immersive experiences, leaving a lasting impression.”

Bustle will launch a social media campaign and a Rule Breakers dedicated digital issue later this month, showcasing "women and non-binary individuals from all backgrounds, lifestyles, identities, and fields, who are defying expectations, traditions and the status quo."

"At Bustle, we have always celebrated women who have broken boundaries to achieve amazing things, but Rule Breakers gives us a chance to celebrate them in real life,” said Bustle Digital Group Editor-in-Chief Kate Ward.
