Which Countries Shell Out the Biggest Bucks for Vegas Residencies?

Residency producers should look to Mexico when it comes to marketing and promotion. 

While StubHub data shows that the United States is not surprisingly the primary market for Las Vegas residencies -- accounting for 93% of sales and an average ticket price of $190 -- buyers from Mexico are willing to pay much more of a premium for tickets. While the country south of the Texas border ranks fourth in terms of total international StubHub sales for residencies from 2015 through 2019, ticket buyers there paid an average price of $302 per ticket -- well ahead of the States and second among all countries. Japan is No. 1 with an average price of $562. (In terms of volume, however, it ranks eleventh.)   

When the scope of measurement is limited to the top five residencies in Vegas over the past five years, Mexico tops the ranking for the highest average ticket price paid on StubHub for every production except Britney Spears’ Piece of Me, where it finished third behind the United States and Austria, respectively.
