Black Eyed Peas Shapeshift in 'The Time (Dirty Bit)' Video
From the cosmos to a fist-pumping party, the Black Eyed Peas take their fans on an epic journey in the music video for new single "The Time (Dirty Bit)," which was released yesterday (Nov. 23). The Rich Lee-directed clip blends moving square graphics, offbeat animation and futuristic wardrobes to highlight the foursome's reworking of the "Dirty Dancing" anthem.
"We ain't messing with no maggots/Messing with the baddest/Chicks in the club/Honey, what's up?" Will.i.am raps as dancers grind behind him and one unlucky lady vomits multi-colored pixels. The Peas are constantly shapeshifting in the clip, although Fergie takes human form long enough to sport a glittery top and bright purple pants.
After new album "The Beginning" drops on Nov. 20, the Peas will start a new chapter in their expansive touring history next year. "We did all our homework...to try to figure out how we can do stadiums in other countries, in America, in Europe," Will.i.am recently told Billboard.com, although the rapper remained coy about the group's rumored performance at the Super Bowl XLV halftime show.
