Bell Biv DeVoe Inject 'Poison' into 'Jimmy Fallon'

Bell Biv DeVoe is planning on releasing some new music this year, but the New Jack Swing trio brought a couple of classic tracks, including their 1990 hit "Poison," to "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" last night (Feb. 23).

Wearing matching outfits and showing off some dance moves, Ricky Bell, Michael Bivins and Ron DeVoe sounded revitalized as "Fallon" house band the Roots backed the trio up on "Poison." The group also rocked the crowd with a web-exclusive performance of "Do Me!" that was highlighted by some old-school choreography and mic stand acrobatics.

BBD told last week that they hope to release a new EP by the end of the summer, but the group first wanted to play alongside the Roots on the late-night show. "The opportunity was presented to our manager to go ahead and knock out 'Jimmy Fallon,'" DeVoe says. "They thought it'd be a good idea to bring a classic like 'Poison' to the TV screen with the Roots, and we couldn't hold back on our excitement to play with them."
