As Lady Gaga's Monster Ball Tour made its way to Mexico last night (May 3), the Mother Monster treated the crowd in Gudalajara to a new track off "Born This Way." The Spanish-tinged "Americano" made its live debut, which you can watch (mostly just listen to, considering the quality) below.

The version heard in the clip is an acoustic take on "Americano," which Gaga described as "a big mariachi techno-house record, where I am singing about immigration law and gay marriage and all sorts of things that have to do with disenfranchised communities in America."

She continued, in Vogue's March 2011 cover story: "It sounds like a pop record, but when I sing it I see Edith Piaf in a spotlight with an old microphone." With this stripped-down piano version of "Americano," we can picture it.
