Dame Dash To Celebrate Life Of Ex: The Late Aaliyah

Keyshia Cole, Monica, SWV, Ciara & More Female Singers Talk Aaliyah's Influence

Dame Dash has been pretty vocal about the death of his ex, R&B singer Aaliyah, who died in a plane crash nine years ago. Now the music mogul, who recently opened his own art gallery in New York City, is giving artists a platform to celebrate her life and music through art.

The Dash Gallery presents "A Call For Entries for Aaliyah," an exhibition of art work that captures the "essence and strength" of Aaliyah, the artist.

The deadline for submissions (no portraits will be accepted) is Nov. 1 and should be sent to:

The Dash Gallery
172 Duane St
New York, NY 10013

The showcase comes weeks after the nine year anniversary of Aaliyah's death in August. Billboard celebrated her life and death with a compilation of tweets from nine of her celebrity friends, as well as a list of nine things fans will never forget about her.
