Jay-Z Talks About MC Hammer Diss

Jay-Z attends the launch party for his "DECODED" book at the Delano Hotel in Miami Florida Oct. 20 and doesn't look too excited to be there. Perk up Jay, it's YOUR party.

Jay-Z's finally discussed the MC Hammer diss track situation during an interview with DJ Semtex, and in true Jay form, he kept it uber cool.

"I didn't know that wasn't on the table for discussion," Jay said with a chuckle. "I didn't know I was the first person to ever say that. Am I? I mean, I'm not. I know I've heard that before. I didn't think I was the first one to say it.

"When I say things, I think people believe me so much that they take it a different way," Jay continued. "It's not rap anymore at that point. Now it's personal. I didn't mean it."

Hov then goes on to say that he says some really admirable things about MC Hammer in his upcoming book, "Decoded," adding that, "He's gonna be like embarrassed. I said soem really great things of him in the book and people's perception of him and how he's from East Oakland. It is what it is. He took it the wrong way."

And when asked if he would reply with a diss track of his own, Jay simply replied, "Of course not."

There you have it, folks.
