Patti LaBelle performs on ABC's "The View" on May 7, 2015 on the ABC Television Network.

Patti LaBelle has seen the viral taste test video that's helped her signature brand of sweet potato pies reach a wide new audience, but the R&B diva isn't about to give entertainer James Wright credit for her soaring sales.

When approached by TMZ about the video, LaBelle was all smiles, saying, "I was selling out before the guy did his wonderful video."

So far, Wright's glowing video review that was posted online last Wednesday night, Nov. 11, has racked up about 10 million views. Earlier this week, Walmart reported LaBelle's pies selling at the "rate of one per second during the 72 hour period from Thursday through Saturday" following the video hitting the web.

Since, people have been reselling the pies on eBay and Craigslist, marking the price up far above the original $3.50 price tag.

Beyond sales, the original video inspired at least one online guitarist to write a musical accompaniment.
