Anyone who's ever worked from home can attest to the fact that working from one's bed is often a far better idea in theory than in practice -- mostly because the "working" can so easily devolve into "napping."

Mariah Carey's Self-Titled Debut at 25: Classic Track-by-Track Review

Mariah Carey, though, is not like the rest of us. That much is probably obvious, but as her recent Instagram post shows, her talents even translate into getting things done in bed (absolutely no double meaning intended).

With no real explanation given, Carey shared a photo of herself under the covers, seemingly sporting nothing but diamonds while laying alongside a boom mic and a recording crew. "Working from bed," she wrote cheerfully in the caption. "Sometimes you have to make the voice-over studio come to YOU."

Though it's unclear why Carey was confined to her bed, we choose to believe that it is nothing more than a whim -- as she put in a later lounge-centric post, "Just resting."

Rest on, Mariah -- you're an inspiration to us all.
