Rapper J. Cole slides into the producer seat for a remake of A Tribe Called Quest's 1990 classic “Can I Kick It?”

The original track -- recorded in 1989 -- contains a slew of samples including Lou Reed's "Walk On The Wild Side," Dr. Lonnie Smith's "Spinning Wheel," and Dr. Buzzard's Original Savannah Band "Sunshower." Cole provides a little more electric relaxation for the 2015 version with a laid back melody.

ATCQ will be reissuing their 1990 debut People’s Instinctive Travels and the Paths of Rhythm, set to include a “Footprints” remix featuring CeeLo Green and a “Bonita Applebum” remix produced by Pharrell.
