Erykah Badu recently gushed to The Fader that Drake is "like a little brother to me. I went to Canada and hung out in the studio with him, while he made Take Care." In the spirit of sisterly love, Badu continues to shower flattery in the form of imitation on Drake by releasing her second take on his "Hotline Bling" with the track "Phone Down" off her new mixtape BUT U CAINT USE MY PHONE, which is set for release this Thanksgiving weekend. Listen to the latest track here:

Last month Badu released a seven-minute, tricked-out cover of "Hotline," which she co-wrote with Seven Benjamin, her son with Andre 3000. “Phone Down” is that cover’s stripped-down, slightly strung-out cousin.

Though the mixtape title BUT U CAINT USE MY PHONE is actually taken from Badu’s 1997 single “Tyrone,” the subject of phones and who’s usin’ ‘em clearly makes Badu and Drake perfect bedfellows -- sisterly or not.
