Drake Shows He Knows How to Cha-Cha in 'Hotline Bling' Video: Watch
Drake released the video for his hit "Hotline Bling" Monday, showing off some silly dance moves in an amazing setting.
The clip opens with beautiful women working at a phone sex hotline but it doesn't linger there too long. Instead the director X-directed video moves to a number of beautiful otherworldly sets, where Drake is framed amongst minimal white design illuminated by vibrant colors.
The work looks as if it might have been created in collaboration with visual artist James Turrell, whose retrospective Los Angeles County Museum of Art exhibition Dreezy visited last year. He even posted a few similar looking shots to Instagram, showing him bathing in the artist's light works.
"Hotline Bling" musically references D.R.A.M.'s song "Cha Cha" and in the video, it's clear he's picked up a couple D.R.A.M.-influenced dance moves as well.
The hit is currently fighting to hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart but has been held at No. 2 for two consecutive weeks by The Weeknd's "The Hills," which is atop the chart for its fifth week. The song was released in July with "Back to Back," amidst Drake's fued with Meek Mill.
