You probably don't think of Fetty Wap as an inspiration to children, but a heartfelt story from Colorado mom Brenda Vaden proves otherwise. "Today I am forever thankful to a young man named Willie Maxwell aka Fetty Wap," she wrote in an Instagram post. "He unknowingly gave [my son] Jayden something we weren't able to give him -- the confidence to be different."
This confidence was brought upon by Jayden's love of the "My Way" rapper -- he's a "real fan," as his mom attests. Diagnosed with Retinoblastoma at the age of one, Jayden underwent eye removal surgery shortly after and has since worn a prosthetic. Losing an eye at a young age is something he has in common with Fetty Wap, and it was the latter's choice not to wear a prosthetic that prompted Jayden to similarly "venture the world without" one.
