It's no secret that Eminem has a way with words. In fact, a recent study conducted by lyrics site Musixmatch has recognized his vocabulary as the largest in the music industry.

Taking the 99 best-selling artists of all time, Musixmatch compared the "100 densest songs (by total number of words) that [the artists] have released." With an unprecedented 8,818 unique words used throughout his catalog, the natural-born wordsmith was pinned up against everyone from Bob Dylan to Def Leppard. Runners up were Jay Z, who came in at No. 2 with 6,899 words, Tupac below him at 6,569, Kanye West with 5,069, and last but certainly not least Dylan with 4,883.

Inspired by The Largest Vocabulary in Hip Hop -- scientist Matt Daniels' study of hip-hop artist's vocabulary -- Musixmatch's lyrical equation still found the genre reigning over its top five list. While Mr. Mathers took the throne, his rapping counterparts didn't fall too far behind with their word game.
