Too Short Chooses Jail Time Over Probation: Report

Too Short is reportedly now in jail, after choosing three months in the slammer over three years on probation. 

In court Thursday, as TMZ reports, Too Short had failed to meet community service requirements that were part of his sentence from a in Los Angeles DUI case in 2013, along with three years probation. So, instead of adding another three years probation, the Oakland rapper said he'd go to jail. 

Too Short Brought a Loaded Gun to California Airport

Thursday marked the first day of Too Short's 90-day sentence.

The "Blow the Whistle" rapper was previously arrested in 2009 for suspicion of DUI and other charges while in Las Vegas. In 2010 he was arrested and charged with three counts of misdemeanor battery after getting into a fight at an Idaho nightclub. Last year, he was cited on misdemeanor possession of a loaded handgun in a public place when he brought a loaded gun to a California airport. 

Billboard has reached out to Too Short's publicist for comment but had not heard back at time of publishing.
