Public Enemy Breaks the Cycle in 'Man Plans God Laughs' Video

On Wednesday Public Enemy dropped its 13th album, Man Plans God Laughs, and have followed up now with a video for the title track.

The clip shows a young protagonist growing up tough in a predominantly Black neighborhood, facing bullies and the police, as he fights what's expected of him to live a fulfilling life. 

The whole thing tells a big story in just over two minutes, cutting between stark black and white footage and full color.

Man Plans God Laughs is the legendary hip-hop group's first album since 2012's The Evil Empire of Everything and is available for stream on Spotify here
