Talib Kweli Calls Out Instagram for Deleting His Anti-Racism Post
Talib Kweli, long known for his activism, has been a vocal member of the #BlackLivesMatter movement -- visiting protests, appearing on cable news shows and articulating his views across social media. Today, he spoke out after Instagram removed an anti-racism post he shared that included the picture below, alleging that it "violated their community guidelines:"
Kweli explained further via Twitter:
Wow @instagram removed my post. I posted pic of a dude waving a confederate flag holding a "nigger go home" sign & wrote "aka states rights"— Talib Kweli Greene (@TalibKweli) July 1, 2015
Way to completely miss the point @instagram there's nothing "community" about hiding your audience from the truth.— Talib Kweli Greene (@TalibKweli) July 1, 2015
