BET Awards 2015 Nominations: Chris Brown & Nicki Minaj Lead

Beyonce & Lil Wayne score four nods; Sam Smith & FKA Twigs are also among nominees.

Tied with six nominations apiece, Chris Brown and Nicki Minaj top the list of nominees for the 2015 BET Awards.

Beyoncé and Lil Wayne follow with four nominations each, while Sam Smith scores two nominations. Celebrating its 15th anniversary this year, the BET Awards will air live from Los Angeles’ Nokia Theatre on Sunday, June 28, at 8 p.m. ET.

Joining Smith as a nominee in the best new artist category are Bobby Shmurda, Dej Loaf, Fetty Wap, Rae Sremmurd and Tinashe. Critically acclaimed newcomer FKA Twigs is nominated for best international act: UK. All told, the BET Awards recognizes artists, entertainers and athletes across 20 categories.
