Maryland rapper Oddisee is back with "Counter-Clockwise," the second single off his upcoming album The Good Fight, out May 5. The song fits right in with Oddisee's typically jazzy style, all vibes (literally) and boom-bap drums.

“'Counter-Clockwise' is about being there for people and them being against you as a result," Oddisee tells Billboard, "becoming the bearer of their problems because they know you can handle it.”

Director Brandon Black sought to capture that sentiment in the melancholy, black-and-white video by filming the rapper walking backwards through many notable New York neighborhoods, from the Brooklyn waterfront to Flatiron. He then reversed the video so that it appeared everyone else was moving backwards while Oddisee moved forwards.
