Rihanna Is Not Jay Z's Wife, 'The New Republic' Now Realizes

Liberal periodical The New Republic has been reporting on politics and culture for 100 years now, but it seems to have not stayed totally current with pop culture in its graceful aging.

In a panning of Jay Z's new Tidal streaming service, staff writer Danny Vinik confused Rihanna for Beyoncé, referring to the "FourFiveSeconds" singer as Hova's wife. 

The website corrected the error and tweeted out an appropriate "Our bad."

Jay Z and Beyoncé were married in 2008.
