You might have heard Jade de LaFleur last year when she appeared on the Saint Heron album, a compilation of promising rising R&B singers put together by Solange Knowles. LaFleur follows up the Saint Heron compilation and her own Jaded EP with new song, "405."

Listen to Lafleur's Ro James-assisted, "405," premiered here on The Juice."405" is produced by Jamie Helms. It's powered by contrast: The guitar and military-style drumming are all edges and angles, while the vocals from Lafleur and James are smooth and curved. The singing is sweet, but the subject matter is dangerous: The song starts with the line, "I grab the mask, you grab your gun."

Lafleur has worked with the likes of James Fauntelroy and T-Pain. Saint Heron included a Lafleur number alongside tracks from artists who have done well this year: Jhene Aiko -- who released her major-label debut album in September -- and Sampha, who was a frequently-featured vocalist on SBTRKT's Wonder Where We Land.

Lafleur's "405" partner in crime, Ro James, helped write "Use Me," which appeared on Miguel's acclaimed Kaleidescope Dream album. James has also collborated with Snoop Dog.

Lafleur has been busy lately. Last month, she released "You Know I'm Down," and promises more songs to come in 2015.
