Close two years after the release of his major label debut, good kid, m.A.A.d. city, Kendrick Lamar returns with his new single, "i."

The rapper’s  first single, produced by Rahki, features the TDE rapper proclaiming self love.

"I've been through a whole lot/ Trials and tribulations but I know God/ Satan want to put me in a bow tie/pray that the holy water don’t go dry," he raps before chanting "I love myself" on the hook.

If the sample heard through out the funk-infused track sounds familiar, it's because it's Isley Brothers' "That Lady."

Lamar's sophomore album is reported to drop this year.
