M.I.A. has emerged with a shiny new song. The rapper-singer partners with The Partysquad on "Gold," a relentless 1:47-long track off The Partysquad Summer Mixtape

"Show me your gold, do what you're told / No time for games, put on your blindfold," she breathlessly drones throughout the song. Synth horns of assorted flavors dot "Gold," as do whistles, sirens and an occasional reggaeton-inspired beat.

Lyrics for the song's one full verse are hard to make out, but there are references to GPS, Kindle and an iTunes Shuffle. "I'm the queen of the east," she declares.

Partysquad's just-released mixtape also features a remixed version of M.I.A.'s latest proper single, "Double Bubble Trouble," as well as contributions from Steve Aoki, Wiz Khalifa, Martin Garrix and Major Lazer ft. Pharrell, among others. Listen to it here

M.I.A.'s fourth studio album, Matangi, debuted atop the Billboard Dance/Electronic chart when released November 2013. "Gold" follows her New Year's Eve announcement that she had left the management roster of Roc Nation.
