Kanye West and Kim Kardashian celebrate New Year's Eve countdown at 1 OAK Nightclub at The Mirage Hotel & Casino on December 31, 2012 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

As if the world needed more evidence that Kanye West is a perfectionist, today he revealed that his wedding photos took a whopping four days of editing before gaining his approval.

Speaking at the Cannes Lions festival today (on a technology and culture panel), West revealed that the famed photographer Anne Leibovitz backed out of shooting his wedding to Kim Kardashian the day before the festivities in Florence, Italy on May 24.

"I think she was scared of the idea of celebrity," West said. "But because Annie pulled out, I was like, 'I still want my wedding photos to look like Annie Leibovitz’s photos' and we sat there and worked on that photo for four days -- because the flowers were off-color and stuff like that."

The extra work paid off. Kim and Kanye's wedding photo is the most-liked image on Instagram, with over 2.29 million.

In Kanye's words:

"Can you imagine telling someone who wants to just Instagram a photo, who’s the number one person on Instagram, 'We need to work on the color of the flower wall,' or the idea that it’s a Givenchy dress, and it’s not about the name Givenchy, it’s about the talent that is Riccardo Tisci - and how important Kim is to the internet?"
