Kanye West To Perform at MTV Video Music Awards
Kanye West will join Lady Gaga as a performer at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards.
'Ye will take the stage live from Brooklyn's Barclays Center on August 25 (9pm ET/PT) in support of his Billboard 200 No. 1 album, "Yeezus." He will be performing his latest "Yeezus" single, "BLKKK SKKN HEAD."
Kanye West has left many speechless with his antics and performances at past MTV VMAs. Before performing "Otis" alongside Jay Z in 2011, Kanye West debuted "My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy" single, "Runaway" the year prior.
Of course, there was the 2009 VMAs where 'Ye stormed the stage, cutting off Taylor Swift as she was presented with the Best Female Video award. When shared her excitement for her two 2013 MTV VMA nominations — Best Female Video and Video of the Year for "I Knew You Were Trouble" — via Twitter, Taylor Swift made a joke of the incident: "Two VMA nominations!! If you vote and get us one, I promise to keep a firmer grip on the mic this time :)"
The rapper's 2013 VMA performance will tie him with Madonna as the artist with the most VMA perormances. Both artists have a record of seven separate VMA performances.
