R. Kelly, the Pied Piper of R&B, released his new song "My Story" today (July 29). The first single to come off of Kellz’s forthcoming 12th album, "Black Panties," "My Story" features him singing about his less-than-fortunate beginnings, only to end up sleeping in "Versace shirts."

Guitar strums ride with Trap&B production while he reminds listeners of his knack for making the absurd sound beautiful ("She make a pole disappear like 'Hocus Pocus'"). 2 Chainz makes a brief appearance, not taking too much of the attention away from Kellz’s story.

If the song sounds familiar that’s because R.Kelly premiered it live at this year’s 2013 BET Awards. The singer has been busy this year performing at various music festivals throughout the country, including a recent performance at the Pitchfork Music Festival.

Although "Black Panties" doesn’t have a definite release date yet, it is scheduled to debut before the end of this year.
