Odd Future Announces Tour Dates, New Tyler & MellowHype Albums

Listen to a new MellowHype song, 'La Bonita'

Wednesday (July 18) brings a cavalcade of Odd Future news, as the controversial hip-hop troupe has announced new tour dates as well as planned release dates for new albums from MellowHype and (sort of) for Tyler, The Creator.

MellowHype, the rap project of OF members Hodgy Beats and Left Brain, will release its next full-length, "Numbers," on Oct. 2. "Numbers" follows the 2011 release of their debut, "Blackenedwhite," on Fat Possum. The duo has also released the first taste of the forthcoming album, a two-minute cut titled "La Bonita"; listen to the track below.

Meanwhile, Odd Future leader Tyler, The Creator will release his third album, "Wolf," in November, although no official date or music has been released. And OF's Domo Genesis will drop his "No Idols" mixtape - a full collaboration with producer Alchemist - on Aug. 1.

To commemorate the steady stream of releases, Odd Future will embark on the Camp Flog Gnaw tour of North America beginning Aug. 31 in Norfolk, Va. The final date of the tour will also become the inaugural "Odd Future carnival," featuring rides, games, "special guests" and some angry, angry rap. A venue has yet to be announced for the event.

Of course, Odd Future scored a coup on the Billboard 200 this week when their R&B affiliate, Frank Ocean, watched his acclaimed debut album "Channel Orange" start at No. 2 on the chart. "Orange" features a guest spot from OF's Earl Sweatshirt and one from Tyler on its bonus disc.
