A$AP Rocky Arrested in Photo Spat: Report

A$AP Rocky performs onstage during day 2 of the 2012 Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival in Indio, California.

Harlem rapper A$AP Rocky was arrested late Thursday after reportedly getting into a fight with two individuals who were attempting to take his photo, according to TMZ.

Police sources say A$AP was arguing with someone in lower Manhattan when two people started taking photos of the incident. According to TMZ, the "Goldie" rapper (real name Rakim Mayers) and an unidentified friend turned their attention to the witnesses and a fight ensued.

The amateur photographers suffered cuts and bruises, with one reportedly requiring hospital treatment.

Rocky was arrested and is expected to be booked for attempted robbery, TMZ sources say.

Billboard has been unable to confirm the report. A rep for the rapper has not responded to request for comment.

The rapper, a member of the A$AP Mob collective, performed over the weekend at the Pitchfork Music Festival. He is due to make his network television premiere tonight (July 20) on "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon."

"LongLiveA$AP," Rocky's major label debut, is slated for a Sept. 11 release date, but the MC told Billboard recently that a record featuring his entire A$AP Mob hip-hop crew -- which includes A$AP Twelvy, A$AP Yams and A$AP Ferg, among others -- will be out before that.
