Chuck D, The Roots Rock 'Fight the Power' on 'Fallon'

Chuck D, Eclectic Method and Clyde Stubblefield -- AKA the Copyright Criminals All-Star Bad -- stopped by "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" Tuesday night (Mar. 29) to play the Public Enemy classic "Fight the Power" alongside members of house band the Roots.

After a video montage ran through the spoken-word intro, Chuck D emerged onstage next to Roots MC Black Thought to run through the "Fear of a Black Planet" classic, while ?uestlove handled the drums in the background. While Black Thought gave an inspired performance and dressed like a cross between Chuck (Pittsburgh Pirates cap) and Flavor Flav (huge clock around his neck), we couldn't help but miss Flav's energy on the track.

The Copyright Criminals All-Star Band's performance perfectly blended old-school and new-school hip-hop, something that "Jimmy Fallon" has been doing a lot of lately -- after all, the show featured both Odd Future and Bell Biv DeVoe last month.
