Earl Sweatshirt Cancels European Dates Due to Pneumonia
Earl Sweatshirt hasn’t shaken his bout of Pneumonia. The rapper has canceled his European July tour dates, having not recovered from the illness which has already caused him to miss Bonnaroo.
The rapper updated his followers on his slow recovery with a colorfully-worded Tweet.
IM STILL SICK AND THIS SUCKS ASS THAT I CANT MAKE IT TO THESE JULY SHOWS I AM REALLY FUCKING SORRY TO EVERYONE WHO WAS LOOKING FORWARD TO IT— Earl Sweatshirt (@earlxsweat) June 26, 2013
There’s some confusion on quite how long he will be waylaid. A press release reportedly confirms that "all foreseeable tour dates" have been nixed until he is "healthy." His reps, however, are now saying only his appearance on European dates have been canned, and that U.S. dates starting in late July currently aren’t under the axe.
Odd Future will kick off their pan-European tour tonight at the Vega in Copenhagen, Denmark, without the services of Earl Sweatshirt.
Earlier this month, the Odd Future regular canceled his performance at Bonnaroo because of the the lung infection. It's an ailment, he tweeted last Wednesday, that simply go away …”like dubstep.”
THE WORST PART OF PNEUMONIA IS THAT IT WONT FUCKING GO AWAY ITS LIKE DUBSTEP— Earl Sweatshirt (@earlxsweat) June 18, 2013
The artist’s sophomore full-length set "Doris" is still slated for release at the end of July.
