Lupe Fiasco's next album, "Food & Liquor II: The Great American Rap Album Pt. 2" will no longer be released. The Chicago rapper's sequel to the first "Food & Liquor II" album has been "summarily cancelled," although he will release a new project in 2013, according to an announcement on his now-suspended Twitter page.

On Thursday (Jan. 17), Fiasco (or someone with access to his account) took to Twitter to announce: "Hello. A decision has been made that the project titled 'F&L2 Part 2' will be summarily cancelled for public release in 2013… The title/concept for Lupe's 2013 release will be revealed later this year."

Both tweets were quickly deleted (HipHopDX has screen-grabs), and Fiasco's Twitter account was stripped of content. Now, only one Twitter post remains: "The #LF twitter is now closed. Please follow @DJBusy + @SNDCLSH for daily updates. Thank You."

"Food & Liquor II: The Great American Rap Album Pt. 1," Fiasco's fourth album, was released last September and has since sold 164,000 copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan. Its lead single, "Around My Way (Freedom Ain't Free)," samples Pete Rock and C.L. Smooth's classic track "They Reminisce Over You (T.R.O.Y.)," which drew criticism from Rock upon its release.
