Pharrell Williams Joins Rihanna's 'Styled to Rock' Competition Series

Singer-songwriter and designer Pharrell Williams will lend his fashion savvy to a new reality competition.

Produced by Rihanna, Williams will serve as one of the mentors on Style Network’s “Styled to Rock,” a new competition series from that searches for the next trendsetting designer. 12 up-and-coming designers will have the rare opportunity to create fashion designs for A-list celebrities. Each week features a new glittering challenge focused around styling a major star. Williams will assist the designers serving as a mentor throughout the entire season.

 “We are delighted to have Pharrell, who is a driving force in both the music industry and fashion world, serve as a mentor on ‘Styled to Rock,” said Salaam Coleman Smith, president of Style Media. “Pharrell's unique aesthetic and commitment to individuality combined with Rihanna's vision for this series will enable our aspiring designers to hone their craft and learn from the very people who set the trends.”

Pharrell is the perfect man for the job, his creative pursuits in the fashion industry include his own clothing lines Billionaire Boys Club, Billionaire Girls Club, Bee Line and Ice Cream, jewelry and custom accessories designs for Louis Vuitton and collaborations with Moncler, and the artist Takashi Murakami. Not to mention his killer street style.
