The Best and Worst Dressed Artists of the Week: Katy Perry and Cyndi Lauper
At the close of the workweek, we have sorted through countless looks from Saturday (April 27) to today (May 3) and selected the best and worst dressed of the bunch. Check out who is rocking killer threads and who needs to put their stylist on (permanent?) timeout this week.
Best: Katy Perry
Katy Perry rocked Prada head to toe while attending the Catherine Martin And Miuccia Prada Dress Gatsby Opening Cocktail party on April 30 in New York City. Perry demonstrated sleek chic to perfection in a Prada Spring 2013 minimal black and muted purple graphic floral dress complete with black and white detailing. The singer paired the flowery look with a black patent clutch embellished with a floral motif and dual-color Prada pumps. Her silhouette was quite minimal but at the same time rather grand with decadent detail. A classic side-swept wavy hair style and a red lip completed her elegant ensemble.
Worst: Cyndi Lauper
At the 2013 Tony Awards: The Meet The Nominees Press Junket at the Millenium Hilton on May 1 in New York City, Cyndi Lauper channeled, well, Cyndi Lauper. Sporting a pleated leather skirt, fitted white blazer and a black-patterned scarf the “Girls Just Want To Have Fun’ singer looked just as fantastically disheveled as she did 30 years ago. Tousled waves, red nail polish, bubblegum pink lipstick and thick black mascara completed her look. I would have preferred a slim leather skirt to the frisky pleated number, but being frisky is a Lauper trademark, so we can’t really say much.
