Christina Aguilera is not particularly known for her country stylings, but the pop icon headed to Arlington, Tex. on Sunday night (Apr. 19) to take the stage with Rascal Flatts at the ACM Awards. The group and singer teamed up on a pair of powerful songs that were both met with resounding applause.
The duet began with a stripped-down version of "Shotgun," the song Aguilera's character on Nashville performed on a recent episode. Rascal Flatts gave Aguilera an assist on the song, and then the performance segued into "Riot," from the band's recent album Rewind. Rascal Flatts and Aguilera were joined by a full band and small choir, and at the end of the performance, Aguilera gave singer Gary LeVox a huge hug.
