PAY-'DIRT': Florida Georgia Line's "Dirt" enters Hot Country Songs at No. 40 based solely on radio play. With industry forecasters expecting an arrival in the neighborhood of 150,000 downloads sold in its first week, the lead single (released July 8, as was its video) from the twosome's next album, due this fall, should surge into the upper ranks of next week's Hot Country Songs chart. The pair performed the song July 8 on NBC's "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon."
FGL's debut album, "Here's to the Good Times," has sold 1.9 million copies and yielded three Hot Country Songs No. 1s, including "Cruise," which ruled the chart for a record 24 weeks and rose to No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100. The set's "This is How We Roll" racks a fourth cumulative week at No. 1 on Country Streaming Songs (2.1 million).
AIR QUALITY: The Country Airplay top 10 welcomes three new titles, led by Lee Brice's 12-7 leap with "I Don't Dance." The singer/songwriter scores his fifth consecutive, and sixth total, top 10. His chart history includes three No. 1s, a feat he last achieved with "I Drive Your Truck" (April 20, 2013).
