Country singer Chris Young is recovering in a Denver hospital with a leg infection that has forced him to cancel several live dates. The "Aw Naw" crooner experienced symptoms of the unspecified ailment this week while en route to Montana and was taken by ambulance to the hospital, according to a statement from his rep.
He is listed in stable condition and will remain in the hospital for another day.
While he recovers, White's headliner concert set for tonight in Kalispell, MT has been cancelled, and he will miss the next three dates on Brad Paisley's "Beat This Summer Tour." He is expected to resume touring in Redding, CA on Aug. 21.
Young said the infection came out of nowhere.
"I'm so sorry to disappoint the fans but I didn't even know I was sick," said Young. "One minute I was fine then suddenly I’m being rushed to the hospital."
Young's current single, "Aw Naw," reaches a new peak at No. 19 this week on Billboard's Country Airplay chart. His new album, "A.M.," will be released Sept. 17 via RCA Records Nashville.
