Blake Shelton's 'Based on a True Story...' to Be Told March 26

Blake Shelton made a huge announcement on the "Today" show this morning: he'll release a new album, "Based On A True Story…," March 26 on Warner Bros. Records.

This highly anticipated new album features the "Voice" coach's current smash hit, "Sure Be Cool If You Did," which hit No. 1 on Billboard’s Country Digital Tracks chart in its first week of release, and is currently at No. 4 on Hot Country Songs.

"Sure Be Cool If You Did" is creating a buzz, with Entertainment Weekly calling it "ludicrously catchy."

Blake will be heading out on a major headlining tour of the U.S. beginning July 19 in Virginia Beach, VA. The "Ten Times Crazier Tour" featuring special guest Easton Corbin and Jana Kramer, will crisscross the country with dates through the summer.

Shelton’s last album, 2011’s "Red River Blue," was his first to top the Country Albums chart -- as well as the Billboard 200. His first platinum album, it also spawned four number one hits, "Honey Bee," "God Gave Me You," "Drink On It," and "Over."
