Less than a week after a triumphant main stage set at a full-capacity Lollapalooza in Chicago, Limp Bizkit have canceled their summer tour. The theater sprint by the 1990s nu-metal survivors -- dubbed the "Limited Last Minute Post Pandemic Popup Party Edition" -- was slated to run through an August 24 show at the Palladium in Los Angeles.
However, after making it through just four dates, the band announced over the weekend that beginning with Friday night's (August 6) gig at the Stone Pony Summer Stage in Asbury Park, New Jersey, the planned 12-date outing was off. "Out of an abundance of caution and concern for the safety of the band, crew and most of all the fans, the Limp Bizkit show this Monday and the remaining August tour is being cancelled,” the wrote in a statement on their official site. “Refunds are available at their points of purchase. All tickets purchased online will be automatically refunded.”
