"Mr. Brightside" meets the "big time." On Thursday (April 8), The Killers recalled winning the lottery with the "first 25 bucks" they made in the music business 18 years ago.
The Vegas rock outfit shared a picture of their first paycheck from Warner Bros. Records, which was dated April 8, 2003, when the band visited WMG in Los Angeles to perform a showcase. The check was addressed to drummer Ronnie Vannucci Jr., who kept it all this time and pulled it out of the archives to commemorate the band's milestone achievement.
"18 years ago today. Our first 25 bucks in the big time. We each got one. Ronnie saved it for Instagram. Shoutout to Warner Bros for giving us a shot," The Killers wrote on their socials.
