Green Day are fired up to get back on stage. The veteran punk-pop trio announced that they will kick off the 10th annual NFL Honors on Saturday night (Feb. 6) with an "epic performance" on the show, slated to air at 9:00 p.m. ET on CBS.
You can't blame Billie Joe Armstrong and the boys for being itchy to get back out and play live, since they were forced to postpone last summer's eagerly anticipated Hella Mega Tour with Fall Out Boy and Weezer, which is currently slated to kick off on June 9 at Ernst-Happel Stadion in Vienna, Austria.
The Honors, which the league debuted in 2012, is the annual awards show recognizing the best players, performances endplays from the season. Green Day are just a small slice of the music that will be rocking the weekend leading up to Sunday's Super Bowl LV match-up between the Kansas City Chiefs and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
