Andrew Lloyd Webber knows an emo bop when he hears one. The Phantom of the Opera composer has tickled the ivories to create dozens of iconic show tunes over the years, but that doesn't mean he's immune to the charms of a different kind of music of the night.

In a TikTok video that warmed the hearts of even the most sullen killjoys, ALW slid onto his piano bench on Thursday (Oct. 29) and responded to a two-year-old tweet from a My Chemical Romance superfan who said, "still fuming that The Black Parade hasn't been made into some incredible goth musical."

"Musical theater fans everywhere, what do you think of when you hear this?" he said, cueing up the spooky main theme to Phantom before paying MCR the greatest compliment of all time. "And for everybody else, what do you think of when you hear this?" He then plays the first, haunting G note intro to the song from the band's iconic 2006 concept album about the dying "Patient."
