Six current and former members of Nine Inch Nails will join band founder and creative centerpiece Trent Reznor when he's inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on the Nov. 7 HBO Max special.

When the inductees for this year's class were originally announced in January, Reznor's name was the only one listed on the NIN roster, but a spokesperson for the Rock Hall confirmed to Billboard on Friday (Sept. 4) that half a dozen other members will be enshrined alongside him.

It's unclear what provoked the change, but now Reznor will take his place along with Atticus Ross, Robin Finck, Chris Vrenna, Danny Lohner, Ilan Rubin, and Alessandro Cortini. According to Cleveland.com, the names were revealed in the bio when the annual exhibit of inductees went on display last month.

Longtime collaborator Ross, who has worked with NIN since 2005 and been an official member since 2016, is the only musician who is listed as both a studio and touring part of the group. He's worked on a number of TV and film scores with Reznor, with whom he shared an Oscar and Golden Globe for Best Original Score for The Social Network and a Grammy for Best Score Soundtrack for The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo.

Finck, Rubin, and Cortini are all touring members, while Vrenna was a key member in the group's late 1980s and early 1990s era, appearing on the foundational albums Pretty Hate Machine, Broken and The Downward Spiral. Lohner performed and recorded with Reznor from 1993-2003 and appeared on The Downward Spiral, The Fragile and Things Falling Apart. Finck is in the current live band and has appeared on four live releases and 2008's The Slip.

Cortini, who is also currently in the band, has had two runs and played on four albums after joining the group for the 2005 With Teeth tour and Rubin has performed in the live band since 2009, appearing on a 2013 live EP and 2013's Hesitation Marks album.

This year’s RRHOF class consists of Depeche ModeThe Doobie BrothersWhitney HoustonThe Notorious B.I.G. and T-Rex, as well as journalist-turned-manager Jon Landau and manager-turned-mogul Irving Azoff, who were named as Ahmet Ertegun Award honorees.

The 35th annual Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony was originally scheduled for May 2, but on March 24, as the COVID-19 pandemic spread, it was pushed back to Nov. 7 and then it was canceled and refashioned as a TV event telling the acts' stories.
