Brian Bell, Rivers Cuomo and Scott Shriner of Weezer perform at Coachella Stage during the 2019 Coachella Valley Music And Arts Festival on April 13, 2019 in Indio, Calif.

The famed Bill & Ted film franchise tapped Weezer for the soundtrack of the upcoming third installment, and the L.A. rockers already delivered today (Aug. 13). They then unloaded the official video on Friday (Aug. 14).

Weezer released "Beginning Of The End (Wyld Stallyns Edit)" ahead of the Bill & Ted Face the Music movie and accompanying soundtrack, which will come out on Aug. 28 via 10K Projects. Wyld Stallyns, the name of the time-travelers' fledgling rock band, remake the Weezer tune from the band's upcoming 14th studio album Van Weezer, which has been postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Mastodon, Cold War Kids, Fidlar, Big Black Delta and more artists contributed to the 13-song listing, but Kid Cudi makes a different kind of contribution to the third Bill & Ted movie. The rapper appears as himself in the actual movie, which follows Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter's titular characters as they race against time with 78 minutes on the clock to create a song that will ultimately save the world.
