Wednesday (Jan. 15) morning, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame announced the six artists who will join its ranks at the May 2 ceremony in Cleveland.

Moody synth-pop purveyors Depeche Mode, blue-eyed soul rockers The Doobie Brothers, industrial rock auteur Nine Inch Nails, cosmic glam outfit T. Rex, pop/R&B vocal dynamo Whitney Houston and east coast hip-hop cornerstone The Notorious B.I.G. are all entering the Rock Hall as the Class of 2020.

The May 2 ceremony will, for the first time, be broadcast live on HBO from Cleveland. To help you get ready for the big day, we created a playlist of some of the RRHOF inductees' best-loved hits. Considering the stylistic breadth of this year's class, it's an eclectic bunch of songs, but you can't really be angry about any playlist that includes "How Will I Know" and "Personal Jesus."
