Billboard has your first listen of the energetic theme song for Netflix’s Green Eggs and Ham -- recorded by Weezer’s Rivers Cuomo -- today (Oct. 31).

Created by Jared Stern and executive produced by Ellen DeGeneres, Green Eggs and Ham is a new animated show based on the iconic Dr. Seuss story, with episodes launching on Netflix Nov. 8. Michael Douglas, Adam Devine, Diane Keaton, Keegan-Michael Key and more make up the all-star voice cast.

Cuomo’s theme is appropriately inspiring, with an undeniable, toe-tapping chorus: “Watch me back flip/ Watch me back flip/ Let my work my magic/ Let my work my magic!”

“‘Backflip’ was something I'd been messing around with sonically and melodically, so I thought it might be a decent fit,” Cuomo tells Billboard, explaining that he was immediately on board when the chance came up for him to contribute to Green Eggs and Ham. “Being part of a Dr. Seuss show is an opportunity anyone would jump at -- his books are part of the cultural fabric of everyone's childhood.”

Meanwhile, Cuomo is hard at work finishing up Weezer’s forthcoming album Van Weezer, which is expected to rock (literally). “All of my creative energy is being directed there at the moment,” he adds of the record, due in May 2020.

"Backflip" by Rivers Cuomo from the Netflix Original Series Green Eggs and Ham is available now. Listen below.
