Bruce Springsteen performs on stage at the New York Comedy Festival and the Bob Woodruff Foundation's 9th Annual Stand Up For Heroes Event on Nov. 10, 2015 in New York City.

It's a good year to be a Bruce Springsteen fan. Following on the heels of his emotionally rich Western Stars album and accompanying film, the rock icon announced on Thursday (Sept. 26) that a soundtrack album to his directorial debut is on the horizon as well.

Western Stars -- Songs From the Film is due out on Oct. 25. The soundtrack will be released by Columbia Records and will feature live performances of all the songs from the Stars album, as well as a cover of Glen Campbell's beloved 1975 single "Rhinestone Cowboy."

The album was mixed by Bob Clearmountain and mastered by Bob Ludwig -- the team behind Springsteen on Broadway -- and is available for pre-order here. The Western Stars movie premiered at the 2019 Toronto International Film Festival earlier this year and it finds Springsteen performing the songs from his first studio album in five years backed by a band and full orchestra at Stone Hill Farm in Colts Neck, New Jersey.
