Wallows Prove Summer Isn't Over With Breezy Double Release of 'Trust Fall' & 'Just Like a Movie'

Being on the road touring behind a fairly new album didn’t stop Wallows from releasing more new music. On Friday (Sept. 6), the rock band gave fans two new tracks: “Trust Fall” and “Just Like a Movie.”

“‘Trust Fall’ and ‘Just Like a Movie’ are two songs that we recorded during the sessions for Nothing Happens,” the band said in a press statement. “When we were coming up with the track list for the album, we felt like these songs fit together in their own unique way and started to think of them as a pair that could exist on their own as singles.”

“Trust Fall” explores the youthful bliss and physical dread of knowing to trust someone without busting your head, as the lyrics bluntly outline. Landon Fleischman, Nikoli Partiyeli and Wallows created a lyric video to go along with the single.

On the other hand, synth and drums create a summer jam out of “Just Like a Movie,” which focuses on running away from a “pointless” world with hopeless people and “sneaking out” with that special someone who understands.
